The Distance Education Council (DEC) is an apex body for the Distance Learning (DL) system in the country. The DEC has been taking various initiatives to maintain the standards of the Distance Education in the Country. The University Act authorizes the functioning of Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education outside the university jurisdiction and the courses offered through this mode are recognized by the DEC of India.
National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an organization that assesses and accredits institutions of higher education in India. It is an autonomous body funded by University Grants Commission of Government of India headquartered in Bangalore. The University has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India with Five Star Status.
The “Indian National Digital Library in Engineering Sciences and Technology” was set up in 2003 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on the recommendation of an Expert Group appointed by the Ministry. The IIT Delhi has been designated as the Consortium Headquarters to coordinate its activities. MSU is associated to AICTE Consortium. IIMs, IISc, IITs, NITs and a few other institutions are associated through the consortium.
